AAA142A Pendulous ver 2.4 Superb tactical wargame! Although it portrays battle in abstract form, Pendulous has many superb features that make it addictive: supply-line tracking, game replay, support for up to 4 players, hidden moves, fractal map generator, scenario and opponent editors, much more! Shareware by Kamyan Software which - it appears - has gone out of business. Comes with three pre-made scenarios, instruction manual, and 4 recorded replays demonstrating 4 of the 5 forms of maneuver (frontal attack, envelopment, penetration, and turning movement). Supply lines let you practice and demonstrate aspects of Maneuver Warfare.

AHA143A Funny Classification Covers Three graphics that look like those card-stock classification covers, but labeled: FUTILE, STUPID, and CONSTIPATED. One of these came out of CGSC, and reportedly was developed at Ft Riley, Kansas. The other two were developed by folks at Ft Huachuca who were inspired by the concept. Not for use in place of the actual covers! Well, maybe sometimes…

APA244A iSilo Reader and Publisher (Palm) This is a SUPERB reader and Publisher for the Palm! iSilo Web is the publisher that quickly converts text or HTML to Palm format... just point it at a web page or site, and you have a Palm document! The iSilo Shareware Reader ($12 after 30 days) will read those pages, to include the graphics and hyperlinks! iSilo Free will also read them, but without the links or graphics. Unlike most Palm Readers that handle links and graphics, the iSilo Web publisher is FREE! Both readers will also read the standard DOC formatted Palm files. This package includes iSilo Free, iSilo Shareware, and iSilo Web. Just for fun, I converted my Quotations Page (to include the 14 linked reading files) and the article on ’IVL Categorization’ using iSilo Web!! And for those long nights on duty, I also included three regular DOC files as well: the US Constitution, the UCMJ, and the US Flag Regulations. This is a GREAT piece of software!

APA245H American Military History (Palm) This is the Palm version of ’American Military History - Army Historical Series, Office of the Chief of Military History, US Army’. 1988. Chapters 1-29. This book was written to teach ROTC Cadets MIlitary History, and is the (MUCH!) later version of the one I used, and which sits on my bookshelf. Great reference document! In Palm DOC format, and requires the iSilo Reader (free or shareware), or a similar reader for the Palm.

APA246D FM 21-76 Survival (Palm) This appears to be the text from the March 1969 version, rather than the newer March 1986 version. However, it is still very interesting and useful, and the large number of soldiers who seemed to have survived the 17 years between 1969 and 1986 attest to its validity! In Palm DOC format, and requires the iSilo Reader (free or shareware), or a similar reader for the Palm.
